This is a photograph of the Alma Mater at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). The color looks a little funky because it's an infrared photograph, not a typical visible light photograph. Since our eyes cannot see infrared, the brightness of various things may seem a bit off (e.g. leaves are white). The color you see is just how the infrared happens to interact with the camera's sensor.

Because my camera is not converted to take infrared photographs, this photograph took 9 minutes to expose, even though it was taken on a bright and sunny day.
